New Services

With the recent purchase of a Sony PMW-EX1 XDCAM we can now support Hi-Definition video photography. For those not familiar the camera features three Exmor ½" CMOS sensors, 720p, 1080i and 1080p shooting modes and frame rates including fast and slow motion as well as 24p mode. Images are captured via VBR (variable compression) recording methodology and stored through the use of (non-linear!) SxS Pro flash-based memory. The lens is a 14x (fixed) Fujinon zoom. Next best thing to film out there for the cost (if not better-we're still playing with it as of this writing). Hope to be (comfortably) up and running with this thing within the next few months!

Timber Rattlesnake

Photographed this Yellow Phase Timber Rattlesnake in August 2008 in Fayette County, Pa. These aren't staged shots. The chipmunk was a fresh kill and was consumed in a little over five minutes. Fang punctures are visible in the chipmunks back in photo 6. Was very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time.
